REALTORS , LAST MINUTE REQUEST FROM CLIENT....

The secret to successful home staging practice is to start jobs and finish them expeditiously. Even in difficult situations, you will find it efficient and business-like to proceed with a job until it’s finished, mark it done, and move on. Stagers are in and out in one day for typical jobs. After that, you will de-stage once the home is sold.

In real estate, time is of the essence. If the client asks you to be done by Friday, and your schedule permits, you get the staging done in a day, by Friday. Logistically, it’s a nightmare, and we definitely wouldn’t recommend doing this for your first job. But, in real estate, it’s part of the game, and you have to be willing to play.

Simply state, “There is an equation of time and money, but if you are willing to pay what it will cost, and if you realize that a large part of the cost will be because of the overtime required, then I can expedite the job for you.” The clients who are really in a hurry because of a legitimate deadline will usually accept the added cost. If the deadline is not truly pressing, however, they will often tell you to forget overtime, but get the job done “as fast as you can.”
